Mothers helpers: The name says it all; a mother’s helper assists the mother (or other stay-at-home parent) with whatever she happens to need. Common mother’s helpers’ duties include babysitting stints, light cleaning and housekeeping, shopping, errands, cooking or meal prep, and chauffeuring the kids wherever they need to go. While non-Muslims are forbidden from entering these holy cities, it is a religious requirement for all physically and financially able Muslims to make the pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. The Great Mosque of Mecca is the largest in the world, and surrounds Islam’s holiest palace, the Kaaba, where up to four million people can pray at once. In addition to this, Medina’s Al-Masjid an-Nabawi mosque is said to have been built by the Prophet Muhammad himself, who was later buried here. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s throbbing capital, is more relaxed in its ways. Anyone can come here to enjoy a lively café culture, mud-brick palaces, and shopping options from traditional souks to extravagant malls. Separation anxiety is children’s fear of being away from their parents or carers.
Children with separation anxiety might cry or cling to their parents or carers when being separated from them.
Separation anxiety is a common part of children’s development. It can start at around 6-7 months and reach its peak in children aged 14-18 months. It usually goes away gradually throughout early childhood.
These anxieties are nothing to be concerned about. Children are starting to move around more at this stage, so these anxieties make sense from a survival point of view. That is, if children could crawl or walk away from their carers but weren’t afraid of separation or strangers, they’d get lost more easily.
Helping babies and children with separation anxiety

What is a live in nanny? Live-in nannies
When it comes to the actual tasks live-in nannies do, they don’t differ much in comparison to those of live-out nannies’. However, there are a few key distinctions to take into account when considering a live-in nanny.
They live with you. Obvious from their title? Yes. But few families really “get it” until it’s their reality. “Having a live-in nanny is a huge help for busy families,” she says. “But sometimes families don’t realize how much they’ll miss their privacy.”
“Live-in nannies inevitably will see or hear very personal and private exchanges within the family,” Ziefle adds. “Because of this, confidentiality on their part is key.”
Communication and boundaries need to be strong. “Live-in nannies don’t go home at the end of their shift so boundaries and strong communication skills need to be embraced,” Ziefle says. Also, as Malson points out, most kids don’t understand the concept of “being off the clock,” making it tricky to allot true down time for live-ins when they’re home but off the clock. Because of this, she notes, it’s important to “have a plan in place to support the nanny’s time off.”
