Maternity Nurse
I have supported High Profile families for over 20 years as a Maternity Nurse, Rota Nanny, Infant Sleep Specialist, Early Years Consultant, Governess and Personal Assistant across the globe. I am a graduate of Swinburne University, Melbourne, Australia where I excelled in my studies focusing on Maternity Nursing, Childcare and Early Years Development. Supporting families in all aspects of their life has been the focus of my career. Ensuring the safety, care and education of their babies and children were always my number one priority, whilst managing the running of multiple homes and anticipating the needs of the family.
The greatest joy comes from helping babies and children develop and watching them grow into their own little personalities. Exploring new cities with the babies and children in my care has been an incredible adventure and the most memorable parts to my journey thus far. Being part of their major milestones to visiting children’s museums, parks and landmarks across the globe; to discovering new places and enjoying the wonderful flavors of food around the world. So many precious memories - from watching their eyes light up with excitement; whether it is from witnessing the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, learning to
swim in the waters of Capri, paddle board in Ibiza, understand the history of The Colosseum in Rome or simply learning to speak French in Paris and Monaco.
The exposure I have had to the customs, and demographics of life in the UAE and whilst traveling, has contributed to
broadening my knowledge and respect for people and cultures all over the world.
My greatest strength is implementing plans to make a meaningful contribution to the family and colleagues I am supporting. My previous employers would be pleased to verify my loyalty, discretion and my ongoing commitment to delivering the highest standards towards the care of their babies/children and their home.
I pride myself on being an open communicator, whilst having mastered the art of applying my own judgement, giving families space and time when needed. I believe I am a positive role model for all ages, having cared for newborn babies to 15yo children through consistently demonstrating kind morals and values. I enjoy preparing nutritious meals for the babies and children in my care whilst ensuring their day has an even balance of education, exercise, down time and sleep.
My education has provided me with a strong foundation to draw on when fostering a baby or child’s growth, development and understanding their behaviors. I am confident in identifying different personalities and learning styles. I possess a natural ability to easily connect with babies and children. I feel it is essential to teach children to be independent and have a sense
of humor, whilst encouraging their creativity, building their confidence. I am practical and
patient in my approach, providing them with opportunities to achieve their goals and not
rushing them to learn. I would also consider myself to be respectful, firm, fun and friendly
with regards to setting routines and boundaries. Offering young children, a sympathetic, compassionate, stable and loving environment to courageously express themselves allowing them to feel accepted, safe and cared for is paramount. The most rewarding aspect of my role over the years, is knowing I have assisted in guiding the children in my care to grow from little people into kind well rounded adults.
